Mobility is an important sector for Belgium. The country has an open economy and is a logistics hub in the heart of Europe (rail transport, shipping and aviation).

At the same time, the mobility sector faces major challenges. Belgium faces major congestion problems and air pollution. Moreover, although the country has numerous winning assets to contribute to more sustainable mobility (expertise, an excellent network of logistics infrastructure…), alternatives to cars (multimodal transport/electric cars) are not yet very successful.

The SFPI-FPIM will make its entry into this sector by specifically emphasising the key role of data.
